Q. Who is Keratin Express for?

Q. How frequently can a client get a treatment?
A. Every 4 to 6 weeks as needed.

Q. What about pregnant or breastfeeding clients?
A. It is generally NOT recommended to perform services of this type on these clients as no clinical testing has been to determine any potential hazards.

Q. What is the result of the treatment?
A. Wavy hair will be straight; curly/frizzy hair will be smoother with up to 100% less frizz and possible curl reduction between 10-30%. Subsequent blow-dry time will be cut up to 50%. Straightening is a breeze with a blow dryer & brush or flat iron and clients have the option to wear hair curly if they so choose. Consecutive treatments will have an increasing smoothing and straightening effect.

Q. What is the best way to offer a Keratin Express service to clients?
A. One of the most unique aspects of Keratin Express is that it can be done in conjunction with other services. Stylists can perform a haircut during the process, meaning a Keratin Express treatment can be offered as an add-on to a previously booked haircut requiring only an extra 15-20 minutes.

Keratin Express can also be done immediately after a color service, sealing the color and creating vibrancy and shine like never before. After completing hair color service, begin with Step #2 and continue with application, processing (cut during this step) blow dry and flat iron.

Q. Is Keratin Express safe for highlighted, bleached, grey, relaxed, damaged hair?
A. For all hair, the #1 consideration for Keratin Express treatments is the porosity of the hair, and its ability to withstand 450° heat. If hair is “fried” or breaking, do not perform the service. The only thing that can damage the hair in this treatment is the heat of the iron, so it is critical that you diagnose the degree of porosity prior to the service. All blonde/grey hair should use Keratin Express Blonde Formula to eliminate any potential discoloration. For overly porous hair lower the temperature of the iron to 375-450 degrees. Keratin Express can be used on all hair types based on porosity and will actually improve the health, condition and shine of the hair.

Q. What happens after 4-6 weeks?
A. Hair will gradually return to its original state, but in better condition. The effect of consecutive and subsequent treatments is healthier, stronger and smoother hair.
